Cara has studied Oriental Dance (Belly Dance) for 14 years and is one of the state's only professional Belly Dancers. In 2000 she became a professional Belly Dance artist and in 2003 began teaching this beautiful art form. She is the owner and operater of the Scimitar Moon Belly Dance Centre and has gained a reputation as being one of Queensland's up and coming top performers.

Cara has an extensive knowledge of Oriental and Middle Eastern Folk dance and has studied under both national and international master choreographers and specializes in Egyptian folk, cabaret and contemporary styles as well as sword dance.

Cara began her early dance training in Classical Ballet and Flamenco, but has gone on to study in such diverse styles such as Salsa (LA and Cuban street styles), Street Latin, Cuban Folkloric (Orishas), African, Classical Indian and Hula dance.

Having studied all of these styles, Cara still believes that Belly Dance is her first love and has given her complete control over her body both physically and emotionally while training and performing.
